Rev. Dr. Rebecca Graham

Born Lutheran, but God has called me to serve in both the Lutheran Church (ELCIC) and the Anglican Church (ACC) in my time. I have a diploma in Travel and Tourism, from Mohawk College in Hamilton. I have an Hon BA (Specialist in Early Modern Social History and a Major in Religion) from U of T - Woodsworth College in Toronto, an MDiv from LTS in Saskatoon, and a DMin-Preaching from LSTC in Chicago. I have had the honour and pleasure of standing on both the furthest East and furthest West points of Canada.

JUST A LITTLE MORE...

In 1988, having completed High School two years before, I was finally tested for a Learning Disabilty, and it was confirmed. Becuase of that diagnosis, I had to overcome perceptions of myself that society imposed.

The word 'Disability' carries many burdens that don't necessarily apply to the individual. Because of this I made some errors in my life before challenging myself to overcome the perceptions of others. Having done so, beginning in 1996 I am aware of how far I've come. I am aware of the support and encouragement I've received along the way. All of which makes me, in general, a thankful person, and one who is not likely to be satisfied being 'labeled' by anyone.

I once put on a Facebook post that I was "only a Parish Priest." A friend corrected me pointing out that to be a Parish Priest is a position that carries much honour and responsiblitiy. there is no 'only' about it, and I give thanks to God for this friend and for all of the other friends I have made, who encourage and inspire me to carry on challenging myself, every day.
